The role of a snagging inspector is to identify the defects . Poor workmanship and where builder has failed to meet the warranty standards and builder regulations
A snagging inspector will typically be qualified to a minimum NVQ level 3 standard and have a minimum of 5 years construction experience
There are currently two types of snagging inspection in the UK
1. The PCI or pre completion inspection , which is undertaken prior to legal completion undertaken on properties where the builder is a signee to the NHQB ombudsman scheme
And
2 . The post completion inspection …undertaken after the home owner moves in and offering a more comprehensive inspection and perhaps offering other services such as thermal imaging
