The coronavirus pandemic lockdown brought transactions to a halt and sent property chains into chaos.
The situation is in theory slightly better for those buying new-build homes as they are vacant, so can be moved into despite social distancing guidelines and the Government’s freezing of the property market.
For those at the start or in the middle of a transaction, it is difficult – particularly as many developers have not started work again on construction sites, which may lead to delays in completions.
We’re looking for questions about buying and selling new-build properties to put to our property experts in a Q&A.
They can be on issues such as your rights if you are reserving or exchanging on a home, if you should negotiate the price down, and whether using schemes such as shared ownership and Help to Buy are currently a good idea.
Simply fill out the following form with your question and we’ll find some answers.
