New portal for the Home Information Packs (HIPs) launched |
|
|
Launch offers include free advertising and prizes for contributors.
From June 2007 anybody selling a house will need to produce a Home Information Pack
(HIP) or risk being fined £200. These sellers packs will ensure that
all homes are professionally inspected, reduce the number of failed
transactions which are costing buyers a million pounds per day, and
reduce the cost of entry into home ownership for first-time buyers.
Home Inspection Home aims to be the leading Home Information Pack portal providing news, forums and much more for the new multi-million pound seller pack
industry. Set up by the leading independent snagging company New Build
Inspections (NBI), it will provide a one-stop-shop for information
about Home Information Packs for consumers and industry professionals.
There are a number of HIP
websites already but none are as comprehensive as Home Inspection Home
in terms of content and functionality. The site includes an events
calendar, forums, news, RSS feeds, a home inspection directory and a
jobs board.
Catriona Bright, Managing Director of NBI
said, “We have invested a lot setting up this site, but for a portal to
be successful we need members and forum contributors. To encourage this
we are offering £10 per week to the best forum contribution and the
opportunity for Home Information Pack providers to join our panel of
experts. Additionally, for a limited time listings can be added to our
home inspection directory and job board free of charge.”
